Let's get straight into the 4 powerful ways to optimize your morning routine and boost your day suggested by Ali Sami Farooq .Over the years, I have developed a number of strategies to improve the health-promoting aspects of my morning routine while also helping to get into a proper state of mind.
1. "Drive You Crazy" Exercise Strategy
The first and most important strategy you should use as soon as you get out of bed is what I call the "make you look crazy" exercise strategy. Whether it's jumping jack, running on site or push-ups, you just have to do some form of exercise for 30 seconds. On paper it may seem like a short period of time, but it only takes 30 seconds to help your mind completely escape its state of 'numt' that it loves so much after waking up.
Bottom line: Just do some form of exercise for 30 seconds after waking up and you'll immediately change your mindset into a much more alert and productive one.
2. Use a scraper for your tongue
Have you ever heard of a tongue scraper? Have you ever used one? A scraper is, in all its basic glory, a metal contraption that is used to "scrape" the tongue from unwanted bacteria and accumulations. When you sleep, this bacterium begins to form on the tongue, especially if you do not target the tongue with the toothbrush. Have you ever seen people with a thick "white" coating on their tongue? They could benefit from a tongue scraper.
Use the tongue scraper first thing in the morning, even before brushing your teeth or starting the next step, and you may be surprised at what you would otherwise have swallowed during the day.
3. Extraction of oil with coconut oil
The benefits of oil extraction are many, especially when it is done at the right time of day. The absolute best time to start oil extraction is before brushing your teeth, and especially before breakfast. Then, immediately after using the scraper for the tongue, begin to pull the oil with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Many avid supporters of oil extraction will tell you to aim for 20 minutes, but a much more realistic target for newcomers is about 10.
For the first time, don't even worry about hitting those times. Just try to "pull" for a few minutes and get used to the routine.
4. Warm lemon water
The final step to building your morning routine is focused on heating a glass of water to a warm temperature and adding the squeezed juice of a whole lemon. This is a practice that I have been a fan of for years thanks to its numerous benefits for the liver and digestive capacity of the body. Warm lemon water is a great way to start the day with almost zero time or preparation.
